Goal: have operational checklists to publish, reply and measure.
Estimated time: 10 min · If you only have 5 min: read “The essentials in 30s” + the diagram.

The essentials in 30 seconds

  • Secure: a short checklist (hook, call, rights, link, timing) avoids most publishing misses.
  • Draw: two ready benchmarks — before publishing and monthly 1 h — for moments when everything plays out.
  • Rule: one checklist ticked each time beats a long ignored method.

Nour thread — 1 year later: checklists at hand

One year later, both checklists below are pinned at Nour's: the pre-publish one in her Canva template comment, the monthly one in her reporting spreadsheet. “What saved me,” she says in substance, “is not knowing the points, it is ticking them each time — especially in rush weeks.”

Adapt wordings to your context, keep the structure: it is what avoids omissions and findings-only reporting.

Ready-to-use benchmarks

A good checklist makes a post, a reply or a report fast and forget-nothing. Adapt it to your context.

Before publishing

  • 3-s hook + stopping visual?
  • 1 call said AND written?
  • Subtitles if video?
  • Rights OK (image, face, music)?
  • Link tested + UTM?
  • Timed slot (stats) or scheduled?

Monthly (1 h)

  • Native exports + spreadsheet up to date
  • 5 families: findings in 3 lines
  • Top/flop formats: double down/stop
  • 1 dated action + owner
  • 1-page reporting sent + 15-min review
  • Next month's calendar adjusted
Common misinterpretation: “collecting checklists”. No. A checklist is only useful ticked and dated: take the one for your next post or monthly review, the others will wait.

Ready-to-say script — validating a post in 1 minute (1 min)

“3-s hook? One call said and written? Subtitles? Rights OK? Tested link + UTM? Timed slot? If one no, I fix before scheduling.”

Copy-paste template — post + monthly tracking (1 line per point)

POST of ... (network, time): ...
3-s HOOK + visual: OK / redo
Single CALL said and written: OK / redo
RIGHTS (image, face, music) checked on ...: OK / redo
Tested LINK + UTM: OK / redo
MONTHLY of ...: native exports + spreadsheet: OK / redo
TOP/FLOP formats: double down ... / stop ...
1 DATED ACTION + owner: ...

Small business / tight budget

Checklists on one wall-displayed page: the essentials (hook, call, rights, 1 action) are enough.

SME Algeria

Plan local realities into the checklist: real connection times, WhatsApp channels, ad payment means.

Remote / hybrid

Add a written review line to tracking: at distance, a post reread and validated in writing avoids misunderstandings.

Intercultural

Spell out checkpoints in writing: what seems obvious (disclosures, permissions) is not obvious to all.

Caution: The “rights OK” box touches copyright, image rights and music: check image, face and music before each post and keep licences and written permissions. Rules vary by country and platform: have a legal counsel validate when in doubt.

48h challenge — apply tomorrow

Take 1 post or 1 ongoing review, run the checklist above and tick where it stands. Fix the missing line before the rest.

Section exit checklist
  • I ticked the checklist on a real post or report.
  • I can draw the pre-publish and the monthly 1 h at the right time.
  • I did the 48h challenge or planned its date.

Nour schedules Saturday morning's post. What must she tick first?

Tip: keep the post checklist in Canva (template comment).
