Goal: have operational checklists and essential copywriting templates.
Estimated time: 10 min · If you only have 5 min: read “The essentials in 30s” + the diagram.

The essentials in 30 seconds

  • Secure: a short checklist (avatar, headline, benefit, proof, objections, CTA, cut, ethics) prevents 90% of misses.
  • Reach for: ready frameworks (AIDA, PAS, BAB, FAB) and formulas (benefit, headline, CTA, objection) for blank-page moments.
  • Rule: one checklist ticked every time beats a long method ignored — adapt, keep the structure.

Mehdi thread — 1 year on: the checklists at hand

One year on, both checklists below are posted at Mehdi's desk: the pre-publish one on his second screen, the frameworks one in his writing notebook. What saved him, he says in substance, was not knowing the frameworks — it was ticking them every time, especially on rush days.

Adapt wordings to your context, keep the structure: it is what prevents omissions and flat texts.

Ready-to-use markers

A good checklist makes a task fast and complete; good templates speed up writing. Adapt them to your context.

Before publishing a text

  • Are the avatar and their problem clear?
  • Does the headline grab in 3 seconds?
  • Is the main benefit up front?
  • Is there proof (testimonial, number)?
  • Are the main objections lifted?
  • Is the CTA single, clear, compelling?
  • Have I cut the filler (read aloud)?
  • Is it true and deliverable (ethics)?

Frameworks & formulas to deploy

  • AIDA: Attention, Interest, Desire, Action
  • PAS: Problem, Agitate, Solution
  • BAB: Before, After, Bridge
  • FAB: Feature, Advantage, Benefit
  • Benefit bridge: “… which means that …”
  • Headline: number + benefit + curiosity
  • CTA: action verb + benefit + risk reducer
  • Objection: reframe, prove, guarantee
Common misinterpretation: "collecting checklists". No. A checklist is only useful ticked and dated: take the one for your next text, the others will wait.

Ready-to-say script — pick your framework in 30 seconds (30 s)

"Sales page: I use AIDA or PAS. Short email: PAS or BAB. Product sheet: FAB then benefit bridge. I picked, I write, I check with the checklist."

Copy-paste template — text tracking before publishing (1 line per point)

TEXT: ...
AVATAR and problem (clear?): ...
3-second HEADLINE (which one): ...
Up-front BENEFIT + proof: ...
Lifted OBJECTIONS: ...
Single CTA (verb + benefit + reduced risk): ...
CUT (read aloud on ...): OK / to rework
ETHICS (true and deliverable): OK on ...

Small business / tight budget

Checklists on one page posted on the wall: the essentials (benefit, proof, CTA, cut) are enough.

Algeria SME

Include real channels (phone, WhatsApp) in the tracking: which call or message CTA, who answers, by which deadline.

Remote / hybrid

Add a peer-review line to the tracking: at a distance, a second pair of eyes avoids blind spots.

Cross-cultural

State benefit and guarantee in writing: what seems obvious is not obvious to everyone.

48h challenge — apply tomorrow

Take 1 text in progress, run the checklist above and tick where it stands. Fix the missing line before publishing.

Section exit checklist
  • I have ticked the checklist on a real text.
  • I can reach for a framework (AIDA, PAS, BAB, FAB) at the right moment.
  • I did the 48h challenge or scheduled its date.

Check your understanding

Before publishing his product sheet, what should Mehdi check first?

Tip: keep these checklists near the guide's capstone project (a library of texts that convert).
