6.1Concrete cases
The essentials in 30 seconds
- One method, three missions: frame the message, build the slides, check the projection, then transmit the file — the order matters more than the tool.
- The proof before the demo: a presentation is ready when the titles tell the story, the timing holds and the media works in the room.
- Thinking after the meeting: PDF, MP4 capsule, model and documentation are part of the project, not a forgotten option.
Fil Amel — three missions, one method
Amel is communications manager for an agri-food SME in Blida. She has three missions: convince the committee to launch the new range of juices, train the salespeople to sell it, then use an old commercial support that has become illegible. Each mission replays the same approach: frame, construct, verify, transmit.
Each case follows Context, Steps, Result: replay it on your own presentations.
Why concrete cases
The previous levels laid the bricks: layouts, text, images, mask, animations, narration and storytelling. Here, we assemble them end to end. It is the sequence of good reflexes, a framed message, sober slides, a calibrated repetition, which distinguishes a presentation which decides from a slideshow which one undergoes.
Replay the process
A case cannot be copied: it is replayed. We take the order of the process, we adapt it to the context (audience, duration, room, level of detail) and we keep the same requirement for proof at each stage. The subject changes, the method remains.
From the screening to the next day
The real test of a presentation is not “it displays on my screen”, but “it holds up in the room and remains useful afterwards”. Are the titles legible at the back of the room? Does the video start without network? Can those who are absent receive a capsule? A project is judged as much after the meeting as before.
Case 1 — Convince the committee to launch the range
Context: Management, salespeople and a distributor client must validate the launch of a new range of juices. Amel has fifteen minutes and a key figure: the product can gain a 12% margin.
Déroulé :
- Frame the story in five sentences: situation, tension, evidence, decision, call to action (N5.1).
- Build the plan: title, context, range, evidence, price, availability, next steps (N1.1).
- Fill in soberly: one idea per slide, 5 × 5, 24 pt minimum, only one accent color (N1.2, N1.4).
- Add a margin graph and a SmartArt of the product journey (N2.3, N2.4).
- Rhythm with a fade everywhere, a Morphosis on the packaging and a Summary Zoom (N3.1, N4.1, N4.2).
- Repeat in Presenter mode, check sound and export a backup PDF (N3.5, N4.4).
Result: Fifteen minutes which get a dated yes, with an MP4 capsule for those absent and a backup PDF.
Case 2 — Train salespeople in sales
Context: The sales team must know how to defend the range on the ground. Amel is preparing a two-hour presentation which will also be used as a replay and on display at the show.
Déroulé :
- Divide the training into modules and create named sections (N2.5).
- Build a clickable zoom summary with return to the plan (N4.2).
- Add triggers for the validation quizzes of each module (N3.3).
- Record narration on key modules and export a chaptered MP4 (N4.4).
- Prepare a loop terminal version and a room version with notes and timing (N4.5, N3.5).
Result: One support, three uses: room, terminal and replay, without tripling the work.
Case 3 — Resuming old commercial support
Context: An old file of twenty slides mixes five fonts, heavy images and outdated numbers. Amel must make it presentable before the next range review.
Déroulé :
- Audit the file: layouts used, manual formats, fonts, media weight (N1.1, N1.3).
- Apply a single theme and revert the manual colors to those of the theme (N1.4).
- Reconstruct the slides in the master rather than in floating areas (N2.1).
- Rewrite the titles as statements and cut the text for notes (N1.2, N3.5).
- Update figures and graphs, then compress media (N2.4, N1.3).
- Deliver a .potx model to prevent the problem from recurring (N2.2).
Result: A coherent, lightweight and reusable support, with a template for future presentations.
Ready-to-say script — framing a presentation (30 sec)
“I start by writing the story in five sentences: the starting point, the problem, the proof, the expected decision and the sequel. Only then do I construct the slides, check the rendering in the room and send you a PDF and a capsule. »
To keep for a first project meeting.
Script ready to say — announce repeat (25 sec)
“Before the meeting, we test in a real room: readability of titles, video sound, timing and Presenter mode. This is what avoids unpleasant surprises on the big day.”
Involve the client in the repetition: he sees what is verified.
Copy and paste model — framework sheet
AUDIENCE: _______________
DURATION: _______________
ONE-SENTENCE MESSAGE: _______________
STORY IN 5 SENTENCES: _______________
EVIDENCE / FIGURES: _______________
EXPECTED DECISION: _______________
OUTPUT FORMATS: room / PDF / MP4 / terminal
Copy and paste template — rehearsal checklist
1. Titles read alone: the story holds
2. No text under 24 pt
3. Contrast checked at the back of the room
4. Video and sound tested without network
5. Timing calibrated and maintained
6. Known Presenter Mode
7. Backup PDF on USB stick
8. Exported MP4 capsule
Short version
Express version: five slides are enough for a short decision.
Remote
Remote: check fonts, audio and screen sharing before video conferencing.
As a team
As a team: lock the model and document roles before review.
Printed version
In replay: favor the MP4 capsule and a frozen PDF for those who are absent.
Key takeaways
- Frame the message before opening PowerPoint.
- Check the projection in a real room.
- Transmit PDF, capsule and model.
- Replay the process rather than copying a case.
48 hour challenge — apply tomorrow
Choose a real presentation and replay the process: framing in five sentences, three courses to test in the room, a timed rehearsal and a backup PDF. 35 minutes.
- I know how to sequence framing, construction, verification and transmission.
- I test the presentation in real conditions before the meeting.
- I am preparing a PDF, a capsule and a reusable template.
Frequently asked questions
Do we have to rebuild everything for each presentation?
No. We reuse the template, layouts and content blocks. What changes from one project to another is the story and the evidence, not the technical base.
How much time should you allow for a 15 minute presentation?
Allow one to two hours of construction for a new support, plus around thirty minutes of technical rehearsal. An existing model halves this time.
What if the client cannot come to the meeting?
Export an MP4 capsule with narration and a frozen PDF. The presentation continues to work without you.
What is the first deliverable of a presentation project?

PowerPoint is the tool; the decision is the goal. A presentation is judged by what it gets, not by the number of slides.
