6.1Guided practical cases

Goal: turn technical mastery into reliable, reproducible and responsible production reflexes.
Estimated time: 14 min · If you only have 5 min: read “The essentials in 30s” + the diagram.

The essentials in 30 seconds

  • Frame: vague brief turned into visual identity — 6 visuals that "are" the brand, constants analysed before declining.
  • Lock in: charter (variable template prompt, frozen version and --stylize, shared --sref, --cref for the character) then decline at the right --ar.
  • Check: hybridize with real photos for authenticity, A/B test, filter defects and protected elements before release.

Sonia thread — two typical productions in Algiers

Sonia, freelance graphic designer in Algiers, looks back on her two standout projects of the quarter: the launch campaign of a natural cosmetics SME (about ten visuals, two people, tight image budget) and the recurring mascot of a creator declined in 8 scenes. Both cases below follow her sequence: set the identity, lock the charter, decline, hybridize, test, filter.

Each case follows the Context → Steps → Result flow: replay it on your own files.

Putting the building blocks together

The previous levels laid the building blocks (prompt, parameters, references, light, workflows); here we assemble them under real conditions: we start from a vague brief, decide, iterate, verify. Two cases worked through from A to Z.

Case 1 — A coherent visual campaign for a brand

Context: A natural cosmetics SME wants about ten visuals for a launch (social media, website, display), produced by two people, with a tight image budget. Risk: a disjointed patchwork.

Déroulé :

  1. Set the identity: generate broadly, select 6 visuals that "are" the brand, analyse the constants (sand/deep-green palette, soft light, botanical macro).
  2. Formalize a charter (5.1): variable template prompt, frozen parameters (version, --stylize, --ar per medium), one shared style reference (--sref).
  3. Decline at the right format from generation time (4:5 social, 16:9 display, 1:1 thumbnail), text space planned in the framing.
  4. Hybridize: integrate real photos of the products into generated settings (combined workflow 4.5) for authenticity.
  5. A/B test 2 variants of the main visual; let the data decide (5.4).
  6. Filter before release: defects, hands/texts, protected elements, AI disclosure where expected (5.5).

Result: A coherent family of visuals, produced by two hands with no drift, on a controlled budget, and decided on real performance.

Case 2 — A coherent character series

Context: A creator wants a recurring mascot declined in 8 scenes (welcome, error, congratulations…). Challenge: it must be recognizably THE same character everywhere.

Déroulé :

  1. Define the character precisely (age, build, clothing, palette) in a locked prompt (3.5).
  2. Generate a validated reference image, then use it as a character reference (--cref) for each new scene.
  3. Vary ONLY the setting and the pose; keep identity, style and light constant.
  4. Correct drift locally (inpainting, 4.1) rather than regenerating everything.
  5. Upscale the final selection (4.4) and check the coherence of the series viewed TOGETHER.

Result: Eight scenes in which you immediately recognize the same character — a series, not eight unrelated images.

Common misinterpretation: "copying the cases identically". No. The cases show a production order (set, lock in, decline, hybridize, filter), not a recipe to copy: reuse the order, adapt palette, formats and references to your file.
Text version of the diagram (SEO / screen readers / translation): Full chain: 1) Set (generate broadly, select, analyse the constants). 2) Lock in (charter 5.1: template prompt, frozen version and --stylize, shared --sref or --cref). 3) Decline (right --ar per medium, text space planned, setting and pose as the only variables). 4) Hybridize and test (real photos integrated 4.5, A/B 5.4). 5) Filter (defects, hands/texts, protected elements, AI disclosure 5.5). Lesson: coherence comes from locking in before declining, not from the volume generated.

Ready-to-say script — framing an AI production before generating (30 s)

"Our need: [campaign / character series]. Our identity: [palette, light, medium]. Our charter: [template prompt + --sref / --cref + frozen parameters]. Our formats: [4:5, 16:9, 1:1]. We filter before release: defects, protected elements, AI disclosure."

Copy-paste template — variable charter template prompt

CHARTER [brand]: [subject] + [sand/deep-green palette] + [soft light, botanical macro] + [medium: product photo] --sref [code] --stylize [frozen value] --ar [4:5 / 16:9 / 1:1]
CHARACTER [name]: [age, build, clothing, palette] --cref [validated image] — vary only [setting + pose].

Small business / tight budget

One small-scale case replayed: 6 selected visuals, one shared --sref, formats planned from generation time, two-person filter.

Algiers SME

Adapt to local realities: real products photographed here, generated settings, text space planned for bilingual use if needed.

Remote / hybrid

Double traceability at a distance: prompts, versions and --sref/--cref noted and shared, selection validated in writing.

Cross-cultural

Check local codes before transposing a case: palette, gestures and symbols must speak to the audience.

Caution: Generic reminder: these productions commit your organization — check the commercial-use terms (0.4), remove protected brands, people and works, log prompts and versions, and add the AI disclosure where expected (5.5); this guide gives no legal advice.

48h challenge — apply tomorrow

Take 1 real file and write its charter in 5 lines (template prompt, --sref or --cref, frozen parameters, formats). Generate the first series.

Section exit checklist
  • I can go from a vague brief to a coherent family of visuals.
  • I have a replayable charter template (template prompt + references).
  • I did the 48h challenge or scheduled its date.
