For a week, practice active listening in your exchanges: rephrase before replying, ask open-ended questions, dare to use silence. Spot one misunderstanding and analyze it with the sender-receiver-noise model.
Revisit your emails: request first, precise and actionable subject, short paragraphs. Check "To / Cc" and your tone. Consciously choose the right channel (IM, email, call) for each exchange.
Write meeting minutes (decisions + actions) OR a memo in inverted pyramid (key message first). Apply the readability rules and a methodical, error-free proofread.
Prepare a short talk (meeting, presentation): objective, key message, hook → development → conclusion structure. Rehearse aloud, manage stage fright (breathing) and work on your voice, posture and eye contact.
In a real situation, formulate an assertive "I" message, OR give feedback using the DESC method, OR defuse a disagreement by looking for interests. Note the effect on the relationship.
Run or frame a meeting (objective, agenda, decision log), OR prepare a high-stakes talk that weaves in a story (storytelling). Debrief: what worked, what to improve.
