COPYWRITING CHEAT SHEET - STARTER VERSION (to personalize) Golden rule: write for the READER and the ACTION you want, not for yourself or the brand. === 1. BEFORE WRITING (audience & offer) === - Customer avatar: pains, deep desires, level of awareness, real words (from reviews/forums). - Value proposition: what you offer + to whom + benefit + what makes you unique. Clear in 5 seconds. - Benefit first, feature as proof: "X, which means that ... (benefit for you)." === 2. CLEAR WRITING === - One idea per sentence, active voice, concrete words, no jargon. - Cut the filler; read aloud (if you stumble, rewrite). - Structure for scanning: one idea/paragraph, subheadings, bullets, white space. === 3. HEADLINES === - Write 10+, keep the strongest AND honest one. - Levers: specificity (numbers) + benefit + curiosity (gap). Never clickbait. === 4. FRAMEWORKS === - AIDA: Attention -> Interest -> Desire -> Action (also a diagnostic grid). - PAS: Problem -> Agitate -> Solution (strong pain). - BAB: Before -> After -> Bridge (aspiration). - FAB: Feature -> Advantage -> Benefit (product argument). === 5. PROOF & OBJECTIONS === - Social proof: specific testimonial (problem + quantified result + named person). - Objections: price (reframe by value), self-doubt, offer-doubt, risk (guarantee = reverse the risk). === 6. CALL TO ACTION === - Action verb + benefit ("Get my free guide"), one goal per page, add a risk reducer (free, 2 min). === 7. CONVERSION === - Sales page = salesperson on paper (build value BEFORE the price). - Landing page = one goal, one CTA, message match, short form. - Email: the subject decides the open; give value before asking; one CTA. - A/B test: one variable at a time; enough data; keep the winner, retest. === 8. REWRITE (where the real work happens) === - First draft = get ideas out (allowed to be bad). Then: let it rest, cut ("when in doubt, cut"), read as the target reader. REMINDERS - Persuasion (help decide) != manipulation (deceive). Only true urgency/scarcity. No dark patterns. - Honest persuasion is the most profitable strategy long term.
